Cold-forged parts for demanding further processing
Cold-forged parts with internal and/or external threads form the basis for precision fasteners, the geometries of which can be individually adapted to the specific application thanks to extensive post-processing options. Internal or external threads can be produced using both mechanical and machining methods. In addition to efficient cold forming, a particular strength lies in the sophisticated further processing carried out directly in-house. This enables components to be provided with additional functional features through processes such as milling, cross-drilling, NC turning and drilling. Form rolling also allows the production of defined contours and threads with high repeatability. By combining forming and mechanical machining, complex component geometries can be produced from a single source. This reduces interfaces in the supply chain and facilitates the coordination of manufacturing steps and quality requirements.
Depending on the application, threaded parts can also be further refined using processes such as heat treatment or coatings. Cold forming ensures efficient use of material and is particularly suitable for the cost-effective production of large series. The components are used, amongst other things, in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and other technical applications. This results in bespoke threaded components, where cold extrusion and precision finishing are combined to form an integrated manufacturing solution.
