HEICO-FORM

Inserts

Loss- and twistproof inserts for plastic applications in the automotive sector

HEICO-FORM inserts are overmouldable sleeves specially developed for demanding plastic applications in the automotive sector. They prevent plastic components from deforming plastically during tightening or from coming loose spontaneously due to shrinkage and thermal contraction. The following designs are available, depending on the requirements.

Depending on the application, the sleeves can be manufactured from materials including steel, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, brass or special alloys. State-of-the-art manufacturing technology and in-depth expertise enable a wide variety of designs and the precise realisation of custom geometries. With HEICO-FORM Inserts, engineers have a reliable solution for joining metal and plastic that can be tailored to the specific requirements of modern automotive components.

Supplements the functions of Type A with an external octagonal shape, which ensures a secure fit within the plastic and prevents unwanted rotational movement through a form-fit. As a result, the inserts remain securely fixed within the component even under high mechanical loads.
