For the most demanding applications.
Solid parts and semi-solid parts can be manufactured cost-effectively and with high precision using the cold forging process for a wide variety of industrial applications. Whilst solid parts have a solid cross-section, semi-solid parts allow for targeted material and weight reduction through integrated cavities. This non-cutting forming process ensures efficient material utilisation and a largely continuous fibre orientation within the component. This results in robust components with reproducible properties, which are particularly well-suited to high-volume production. Depending on requirements, the components can be designed with additional geometries such as flanges, recesses, grooves or other functional elements. A distinctive feature is the option to subsequently carry out in-house induction hardening of solid and semi-hollow parts in order to tailor the surface and wear properties specifically to the application. Further heat treatments and coatings are also possible in accordance with customer-specific requirements. In addition, solid and semi-hollow parts can be riveted, creating additional assembly or joining solutions. Typical areas of application include the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and technical series production. From forming to further processing, the manufacturing process thus offers a comprehensive solution for precise and cost-effective cold extrusion parts.
