For flexible connections and demanding applications
Ball studs enable controlled movements and articulated connections between mechanical assemblies. In our production facility, we manufacture ball studs with various part geometries (such as hexagonal heads or recessed drive features in the ball head), which can be used for riveting, welding or, alternatively, screw fastening.
Cold forging enables the cost-effective production of complex basic geometries and is particularly suitable for high production volumes. Through this non-cutting forming process, the material is precisely shaped into the desired form and utilised efficiently. Depending on their function, ball studs can subsequently be further processed and fitted with additional features. Special machining processes, such as inductive hardening of the ball or thread locking, can be carried out at the customer’s request. Furthermore, the components can be heat-treated or coated in other ways to suit their intended use. Ball studs are used, amongst other things, in the automotive industry and in mechanical motion and fastening systems. The combination of precise forming, targeted post-processing and in-house heat treatment enables a high degree of vertical integration. This results in functional ball studs that are technically and economically tailored to the requirements of the respective application.
